ESERA 2025

Prelude

ESERA2025 Prelude logo

The general idea for the Prelude is to invite international researchers to observe, engage with, and discuss Danish science education. We envision a dialogue between the participating institutions and the Prelude participants. We hope that everybody will benefit from this interaction:

  • Danish science education stakeholder will learn from international perspectives
  • International researchers will get a rare insight into a different country’s educational system

The price will be 100EUR and this will include participation in all events, transportation to and from events using the Danish public transportation system, as well as food, snacks, and beverages for all events.

The maximum number of participants is 50. Tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Thursday 21 August

Friday 22 August

Saturday 23 August

Sunday 24 August

Visit to Danish educational institutions to observe science teaching and learning.

We plan to have time for both observation and for engaging with teachers and students afterwards.

The day will end with joint discussions amongs Prelude praticipants.

Experience IBSE in state-of-the-art laboratories at the LIFE Foundation in Copenhagen.

This whole day event includes workshops, hands-on experiments, and discussions.

At the event, you’ll explore how LIFE Foundation integrates science education with real-world experiments from leading companies.

Participants will visit the nature and wild life area, Amager Naturcenter to engage with a Danish informal science education initiative.

We will have a joint food initiative in the evening, likely at the Department of Science Education.

Workshops day at University of Copenhagen. Join either one of the Special Interest Group (SIG) seminars or a workshop/seminar from other stakeholders (to be determined).
