ESERA 2025

Keynote Speakers

Overview

The ESERA 2025 keynote program features leading researchers who will address our conference theme, “Transitions in Science Education: Sustainability and Digital Advances”, from diverse perspectives. Our keynote sessions are designed to inspire dialogue and spark innovative thinking about the future of science education.

This year, we introduce parallel keynote tracks focusing on sustainability and digital advances, allowing participants to engage with topics most relevant to their interests. Each keynote session includes a 40-minute presentation, followed by a structured discussion with a dedicated discussant and audience Q&A. We encourage all conference participants to engage actively in these sessions to enrich our collective dialogue on transitions in science education.

Our keynote speakers represent a blend of established and emerging voices, bringing together expertise from different countries, research traditions, and practice contexts. Their talks will explore how science education can respond to and shape societal transformations, environmental challenges, and technological innovations.

Closing Panel: Bridging Perspectives

The conference will conclude with a panel discussion aimed at synthesizing the conference themes while pushing our thinking beyond traditional boundaries. By bringing together scholars and practitioners from different geographical and epistemological backgrounds, we aim to generate new insights about the role of science education in addressing global challenges. The panel format will encourage active audience participation to collectively explore pathways forward for our field.
